If you run LUCY with amazon you might experience issues like the following:
- Test Mails do not arrive or with a big delay
- Mails do not get send (and log files show no entry)
- You see many "request failed" errors
This is an indication that LUCY operates with insufficient memory or CPU. Especially after LUCY 2.9 the hardware requirements increased. So the LUCY AMI might eventually work on t1.micro. But in order to run with 600 Mybte Memory the system needs to be manually adjusted that LUCY will have more that 100 Mybte Idle Memory. Therefore t1.micro or even t2.micro is not recommended.
Solution: run LUCY on m1.small, m1.medium, c3.large and c1.medium. The best performance will be on c3.large, but using m1.small and m1.medium will be enough even for attacks with many thousands of recipients.
